1949-50 Anderson Packers (NBA)

1949-50 ANDERSON PACKERS
NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION
Western Division
Finished: 37-27 .578, 2nd place

Division Semi-finals - Defeated Tri-Cities, 2-1
Division Finals - Defeated Indianapolis, 2-1
Semi-finals - Lost to Minneapolis, 2-0

The last NBL Champions, the Anderson Packers were one of the NBL franchises that survived the merger with the BAA. Now a member of the powerful NBA, the Packers had a successful season on the court, but financially the team from the small Indiana town struggled, and after the season were no longer in the NBA. That summer, they became one of the members of the short-lived NPBL, and when that league folded, the Anderson Packers disbanded.
