After playing as a freshmen, Williamson entered the USMC to serve his country in World War 2. The 5'7 guard returned to be one of Oregon's highest scorers. 
Stan graduated finish playing at Oregon and signed with Portland on March 11, 1948. He was head coach at Springfield HS and then took an assistant job at UO, while selling insurance around Eugene.


Son of John (1893-1960) and Eva Williamson.

There was a Stan Williamson who taught P.E. and coached grade school, junior high and junior varsity basketball at Quilcene, Washington from at least around 1964-65 through the 1968-69 school year. A bachelor, he left to take a job "somewhere in California," but word came back to Quilcene that he died in the fall of 1969. The age is right and he sure looks like the pictures of Coach Williamson in the Quilcene yearbooks of the era.
