Jesko went to South High School Pittsburgh before heading to Pitt ('37),
where he was the team captain in his senior year. After playing in the
NBL, he coached two years in Fayette City, and then coached four years
at Marion High School in Fairhope, Pennsylvania, as well as teaching Spanish and phys-ed. He served in World War 2 before returning to
coaching. In 1946, Jesko was named the basketball coach at Baldwin High
School. He died suddenly in his home in 1961 at the age of 45.
He was married to Frances Bevan and had two daughters, Joyce and Darlene.
