According to the Oshkosh Northwestern from December 18, 1936, Vincent E.
McGowan was a Loyola University graduate, other sources (including Murry
Nelson's book on the ABL) say DePaul. Went to high school at St. Leo's at Chicago, IL. He died in 1982.
He married Virginia Green in 1939 and they had three sons and one daughter.
