Edmund Malanowicz went to the University of Buffalo ('32), where he was captain of the football and basketball teams. He was a long time coach and educator was also principal at John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga, New York, at the time of his death. He was married to Helen (1911-??) and had a son, Edmund (1935-1995) and daughters Mary and Judith (1939-    ).
