Born in Nebraska to John (b.1890) and Alida Knoblach (1890-1974), Knoblauch went to Tomah High School and lettered in basketball, football and track. He went on to Carroll University, and continued in those three sports. He briefly played pro basketball before serving in the US Army during World War 2. After the war, we worked as a teacher, school administrator and coach of both football and basketball.
He married Helen Marie Zweifel Knoblauch (1915-2009) on July 11, 1939.
Some other encyclopedias have him as being a different Knoblauch, but as the WIFCA link below shows, I have the right guy.
