Not Albert Lenoard Benson (Born 2/2/1914. too short):
There was an Al Benson who was a sheriff's deputy in Binghamton NY and a former boxer. His real name was Edgar Pabalis, but he is only listed at 6' 3/4" so he wasn't as tall as the basketball plaeyr.
