Jerome Steiner was an all-state basketball player in high school before becoming an All-American at Butler. He played for a couple seasons in the NBL, and coached high school basketball for years. (Above list is not complete, as far as his high school coaching seasons go.) He also coached golf at Shortridge HS. Steiner also officiated Big Ten basketball games for many years.
