Career
1946-47 Toledo Jeeps (NBL)

Costain entered the U.S. Navy out of high school. After the war, he became a taxi driver in Toledo, before becoming a photoengraver at the Toledo Blade, where he worked for 34 years.
He and his wife Carroll had six children: Mike, Patrick, Ann Marie, Colleen, Mary and Kathleen.
