1947-48 Gadsden / Bessemer Whiz Kids (SPBL)
1948-49 Birmingham Steelers (SPBL)
Lloyd served in the US Navy during World War 2, and after the war, formed a trio with his brothers Ray and Herb on the basketball court. Lloyd averaged 18.5 PPG for the Whiz Kids in 1947-48, followed with a respectable 9.7 PPG with Birmingham the next year.
