George was born to Jacob (1886-1972) and Mary (1903-1951) Jablonski. In college, George played football and basketball, and also ran track.
Served in the U.S. Army during World War 2.
George married Eleanor Virginia Schmidt (1922-1977) on June 21, 1947. The couple moved to Terre Haute, back to Milwaukee, and then to Franklin, Pennsylvania. They had three daughters: Sandra, Carol and Theresa.
