(There was a Lou Simon who played many years but he is NOT the Bellingham player. Lou was playing with Jersey City in the ABL at the same time as this Simon's time here in the Pacific Northwest)
Simon served in the U.S. Army during World War 2, playing GI basketball while stationed in Europe with Earl Torgeson. Referred to as a "half-pint," Simon was discharged from the U.S. Air Cotps in October of 1944.
