The defending ABL champions from Wilmington found themselves without a venue in Wilmington due to the military's need for training facilities for the war. They moved to Camden, New Jersey, for the 1942-43 season, but on January 18, 1943, the club moved to Brooklyn to finish out what would be an abbreviated season.
