Not much biographical information to start with, but once I found Otto Kolar's obituary, it confirmed that Eddie Kolar was indeed his brother and ancestry.com filled in the rest.

Born in Chicago to Anton (1878-1951) and Anna Kolar (1876-1920), Kolar graduated from Morton High School in Cicero where he and his brother Otto played basketball. Kolar played one game for Sheboygan in the NBL.
He married Viola Margaret Steinecke (1910-1999) in 1934 and the couple had three children; unknown, unknown and Rosemary Rusen Kolar (1936-1979). (The two unknown children could be either of the following, gleaned from Edward's sister's Lillian's obit : Viola (Richard) White, Ruth (Warren) Matson, Loretta (Gordy) Johnson or Judy (John) Stakowski)
