An All-American at Marquette, Quabius played four seasons in the NBL. He died of a heart attack at 67 in 1983.
Quabius was married to Joan Pressinger (1917-2012) and they had four daughters; Ione Daniels, Valerie Ranft, Paula Matekine and Faith Quabius, and two sons; Scott and Jay.
