Pilch graduated from Thermopolis HS and entered the U.S. Army for World War 2. After the war, he went to the University of Wyoming, where he was the team's leading scorer. Drafted by the NBA's Baltimore Bullets in 1950, he chose the play the the Sheboygan Redskins instead. After the demise of the Redskins, he signed with the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA.

Pilch later became a very successful entrepreneur in the insurance industry.

Drafted by the Chicago Stags of the NBA after graduating from Illinois, Osterkorn chose to play with the St Paul Lights on the NPBL instead. When the Lights folded in mid-season, Osterkorn was reassigned to the Redskins for the remainder of the season. After the NPBL dissolved, Osterkorn went to the Syracuse Nationals in the NBA, where he played four seasons. After quitting basketball, he moved to Phoenix where he worked for Encyclopaedia Brittanica. He died in 2012 after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease.

Givens starred on the court at McHenry, being named the team's MVP in his sophomore season. After high school, he served in the military during World War 2 before enrolling at Western Kentucky. He played for the Sheboygan Redskins for one season before heading into coaching. He coached at the high school level for many years before coaching at Highlands University. He coached the ABA's Kentucky Colonels for one season.

Johnny and his wife had a son and a daughter.

Flinn was born in Nebraska but grew up in Huntley, Wyoming. A star on the Wyoming basketball team in the late 40's, Flinn played for the Redskins in 1950-51 before entering the U.S. Air Force, where he used his physical education degree to train servicemen. He wound up building a sizeable restaurant franchise empire, owning 19 restaurants around the western United States. Flinn died of congestive heart failure in 2006.

He married Marge Heinz in 1950 and they had two daughters.

When he returned, he went to college at River Falls Teachers College (now the University of Wisconsin in River Falls.) He played pro basketball for the Sheboygan Redskins in 1950-51, and signed on to play in the NBA with the Milwaukee Hawks for one season. He taught and coached for many years in Durand, Wisconsin, and moved on to Hayward, where he would be a principal for many years. He continued to teach until his 1986 retirement.

He married Donna Wells (d. 2008) in 1948 and they had a son and a daughter.

Born to Joseph and Rena Cate, Cate grew up in Cleveland, Tennessee, and after graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served in the South Pacific. After the war, he enrolled at Western Kentucky, where he letterd for four season. Cate was drafted by the Philadelphia Warriors in 1950, but signed with the Sheboygan Redskins. He played two games with the Sheboygans before being waived on November 14, 1950. He was claimed by the Grand Rapids Hornets and stayed with the club until they folded at the end of December, 1950. In a draft where the remaining teams took players from the defunct squads, Cate was selected by Kansas City. He signed with the club in January but was quickly sold to Waterloo before even suiting up for the Hi-Spots. He went on to coach high school basketball in Alabama (not sure where) before taking a coaching job at a Tennessee high school. In November of 1953, Cate signed with the Baltimore Bullets in the NBA, but he did not make the team. He would go on to coach at Tennessee Wesleyan, and then was an assistant coach for the Kentucky Colonels of the ABA.


Buddy was married to Joy David (d. 2013) and they left a lot of their $600,000 estate to various charities and also set up a scholarship at WKU.

After playing in the AAU tournament in 1947, his eligibility at Kansas State was called into question in February of 1948 by Kansas coach Phog Allen. Eventually, this ended with Brannum leaving school. However, in February of 1949, his eligibility was restored and we returned to KSU. He cited financial difficulties in leaving school and playing pro, having a wife and three daughters. But after his return to KSU, he went on the play a season for the Sheboygan Redskins in the NPBL.

In 1965, Clarence was employed at the Spring Hills Country Club in Wichita as a manager. When he saw one of his employees, a groundskeeper named Gary Coltharp, talking to guests and not working, Brannum approached him and after an exchange of words, Coltharp was fired. Later that day, Coltharp returned to the Country Club, and instead of picking up his final paycheck, Coltharp took out his .22 caliber revolver and shot Brannum four times, including one shot to the head. Brannum would miraculously survive, and Coltharp's criminal case went to the State Supreme Court as Coltharp tried to plead insanity. He was found guilty, but appealed it to the highesr court in the state.

His twin brother Bob Brannum went to Kentucky and played pro basketball with Clarence on the Redskins.

Wood enlisted in the USMC on December 8, 1941, and spent World War 2 in the South Pacific. After the war, he enrolled at Northern Illinois Teachers College (now Northern Illinois University). After three fine seasons with the Huskies (he went to school in the summer to graduate quicker), Wood signed with the Sheboygan Redskins in August of 1949. He got his Masters Degree and went into teaching, spending 30 years of education culminating as a principal at Guilford High School in Rockford, Illinois.

Wood married Jane in 1949, and they had one daughter and two sons.

Phelan went to DePaul, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after a couple years there. He returned to DePaul after his service and finished his career there. After leaving DePaul, Phelan signed with the Hammond / Calumet Buccaneers of the NBL, but the league merged shortly thereafter the the BAA, and Hammond was disbanded and Phelan was reassigned to the Waterloo Hawks. He was released by the Hawks and signed with the Sheboygan Redskins on December 16, 1949.

He later worked as a salesman for many years at Nalco Chemical.

Mazza graduated from Trott and went to Canisius where he played both football and basketball. While at Canisius, Mazza and teammate Joe Rodriguez snuck to Toronto to play with independent professional basketball team Merritton Thorold, but both were caught and kicked off the team. He then moved to Michigan State to go to school. After MSU, he played for various amateur and professional outfits in upstate New York. Mazza tried out for the NBA's Syracuse Nationals in October of 1949, but did not make the team. He signed with the Sheboygan Redskins on November 8, 1949. After a couple dozen of games for Sheboygan, he returned to New York, playing and coaching in Niagara Falls and the surrounding area.

His brother, Vince, played football in the NFL.

He married Joan Ferro (1921-1975) and they had a son and two daughters. Widowed, he remarried to Barbara Ford.

Born to Carl and Kate Watkins in Drumright, Oklahoma.He played baseball and basketball in high school,and then went on to pitch at University of Oklahoma. He served in the USMC during World War 2, working as a radio operator in the Pacific before being stationed in China. He returned to Oklahoma, playing on their Final Four team in 1947. He played for the Drillers and Redskins (and maybe the Athletics... not sure) before getting a teaching degree at East Central University. He taught and coached at Macomb High School and later worked as a county cleark and junior engineer for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.

In February of 1947, he was declared ineligible and removed from the Iowa squad. He signed with the Ironmen in the BAA a few days later and played the rest of the season with them.
In April of 1947, Jorgensen was critically injured in a car accident in Iowa, be recovered to play another seven season professionally. He was named as a plaintiff in a lawsuit for the accident, filed by the families of two passengers injured in the accident.

Jorgensen died of an aortic aneurysm in 1982.
His father, Charles, was a trainer for the Pittsburgh Pirates baseball team. His brother Roger was his teammate with the Ironmen.

Born in Wisconsin, Gilbertson's family moved to Everett, Washington, when Gilbertson was 3. He grew up playing basketball, football, baseball and tennis. He was a basketball star at Everett HS, where he was on the state championship team in 1940. He went on the UW, where his remarkable collegiate career was interrupted by the draft and World War 2, where he served in the Philippines. He returned to UW and played professional basketball for Seattle in the Pacific League. He and his family moved to Wisconsin in 1948, and Boody signed with the Sheboygan Redskins. He moved back to Washington in 1949 where he became a CPA.

He married Beverly Pearson in September of 1948 and they had four children.

He married Verone Hetland (1928-2010) in 1950 and had two daughters and two sons.

Born in Elgin, Illinois, to John and Louise Burmaster, Jack went to Elgin HS and then to Illinois. He played professionally for 3 seasons. He later returned to the Chicago area to become the head basketball coach at Evanston Township HS, compiling a 362-145 record and winning the 1968 state championship.

He was married to Judy Johnson (1926-1965) and had a son, John, and a daughter, Terry. He later remarried, to Emily.

Brannum served in the service during World War 2. He transferred from Kentucky after failing to make the varsity team, heading to Michigan State. He went on to play seven season of professional basketball. He went on to be a very successful coach, mainly at Brandeis.
Brannum died of pancreatic cancer in 2005.

Bob's twin brother Clarence was a teammate of his with the Sheboygan Redskins in 1950-51.
