1952-53 WILKES-BARRE BARONS

The defending-champion Barons were focused on repeating their title, and the team won their first six game and 9 or their first 11. The went on to a second-place finish, only a half-game behind Manchester. They defeated Elmira in a tough-fought semi-final series before losing to Manchester in the championship series. The quest for a fourth ABL title had fallen short.
