Born in Philadelphia, Ben Pagliaroli went grew up in Orange, New Jersey, playing baseball and basketball at Orange HS. He was teammates with future baseball great Monte Irvin. After high school, we enrolled at Providence, playing basketball before World War 2 interrupted. He would be awarded three bronze stars during his service. He would finish his education at Seton Hall and play with the Scranton Miners.
He and his wife, Annamaria, had one son.
