Harry
was born to Frederick and Nellie McNeil and grew up in Rochester, New
York. After graduating from West HS in Rochester, McNeil staring working
in the shipping and receiving department at Kodak in 1918. He would be
employed with Kodak through 1965 when he retired. Hash started playing
basketball on the company team and would wind up playing for other teams
around Buffalo and Rochester, and signed with the Rochester Centrals in
the ABL in November of 1927. After playing into the mid 30's, he would
find himself occasionally coach youth team.
Hash and his wife had two sons.
