Coach Eddie White |
AMERICAN BASKETBALL LEAGUE (II)
21-17 .553, 3rd place
Semi-finals: Lost to Scranton, 2-1
The two-time defending champs started off on a torrid 7-1 stretch before coach Eddie White stepped down. After two losses with Steve Chanecka leading the team, White returned. Following a five game skid, the Barons turned it on in late December, winning 8 of 9 and 13 of 17. However, they limped through the last month of the season by losing 7 of 8 and finishing six games out of first. In a first round playoff battle that was a rematch of the ABL championship series the prior season, Wilkes-Barre was bounced with a deciding thriller that went into triple overtime.
