The 5'9 guard went to Siena after high school, and entered the USMC to serve his country in World War 2. After the war, he finished his schooling at Siena and then played basketball in Schenectady for the Packers in the New York State League and the ABL. He would later operate a pharmacy with his two brothers and retired to Houston to be closer to his son and daughter.
