NATIONAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME, 1960

An outstanding player at Indiana, Branch was named the head coach of the basketball team at Ball State in 1930. He played some pro ball at this time, but it was on the sidelines where he would make his name. He eventually moved to the coaching job at Indiana, and lead the the Hoosiers to two NCAA titles. He stayed there through 1965 and left with 364 wins in 23 seasons. (His time there was interrupted with military service in the U.S. Navy during World War 2. He was elected to the Naismith Hall of Fame in 1960, based on his playing time at IU.

A baseball and basketball player at Penn State, Koehler joined up with the well-known Morrys out of Pittsburgh. He managed to sign with John McGraw's New York Giants in 1925, going right to the major leagues after a good showing in spring training. After playing one game with the Giants, he was farmed out to Reading in the American Association. He would return to the Giants later that season, but was let go at the end of the season. He would play professional basketball through 1942, but would never make it back to he major leagues. During this time, he would continue to play professional basketball through 1938. He would later work as a baseball scout in the Pacific Northwest for the Cincinnati Reds before dying of a heart attack.

Pip and his wife, Corrine, had one son.

Born in Sicily, Zingone came to the United States with his family, settling in Passaic, New Jersey. He took to athletics, and played basketball for a few years professionally and later would work as an umpire in baseball games around the Mid-Atlantic and Midwestern United States and the AAGPBL. He was best known as a comical basketball player, a drawing card with slapstick antics much like modern-day Globetrotters. He took his comic trade to baseball as well, making a decent living as an entertainer.

White was a star on the Franklin High School State Champion team in 1920, and would move on to DePaur. He would play pro basketball for a few years while going to Indiana University to study for his masters degree. He would serve as principal and coach at New Haven High School for 16 years before moving to Urbana, Ohio, in 1943. There, he took work as a district manager for Morgan Trailer Company.

White was shoveling snow in December of 1952 when he suffered a fatal heart attack. He was 49 years of age.

He was married to Waneta Brattin and they had two daughters and a son.

Later a policeman at Perth Amboy, Chizmadia was very active in putting together reunions of old-time basketball players throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He suffered from rheumatoid arthritis in his later years.

NATIONAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME, 1961

A baseball and basketball player, Borgmann was a long time pro basketball player and coach, following a journey that would lead him to be one of the first members of the Basketball Hall of Fame. He was a minor league baseball player for many years, and would go out to be a scout for various teams for 32 years.

He and his wife (Lillian? Connie) had one son.

NATIONAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME, 1973

Known as the "Babe Ruth of Basketball" during his playing career, Beckman was a drawing card wherever he played, and was once sold for an unheard amount of $10,000. His reputation on the court as a leader and skilled player, as well as a coach and youth educator, got him elected to the Hall of Fame in 1973, five years after his death at 75 years of age.

Born in the Lower East Side to Samuel and Rose Banks, Davey was a popular player who played for many years around New York and Philadephia before joining up with the Original Celtics. He would later retire and become the head coach for the American Gears for a season in the NBL.
In August of 1952, Banks was killed in an auto accident when the car he was in veered off the road and struck a tree.
