A skilled player both offensively and defensively, Spindell enjoyed a rather long professional basketball career after starring at CCNY. He would also work as a physical education instructor for students for many years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 2.

He wound up as a phys ed teacher at Straubenmuller Textile High School in New York City. In 1952, he was accused to being a member of the Communist party. When directly asked by the Senate subcommittee, he invoked his Fifth Amendment rights and refused to answer. Spindell, along with 6 other teachers, was fired shortly thereafter.

He married Lora Hays (1910-2009) in 1948.

Born to Charles and Nellie Dutton in Syracuse, Dutton starred at Christian Brothers before enrolling at Georgetown. He started every game as a sophomore and lead the team in scoring. He was declared academically ineligible in January of his senior year, and signed with the Rosenblums in the ABL.

Dutton was a member of the inaugural class inducted into the Hoyas' Hall of Fame in 1958.

The club was hampered by the new ABL rules but into effect for this season, which included only being allowed to put three veteran players on the court at any time as well as the banning of the pivot. In an emergency league meeting in Cleveland on December 6, the Rosenblums asked to strike those rules from the book but were voted down. With the slow play and low scores hurting the Rosies at the turnstiles, the defending champions dropped from the league on December 8, 1930.

Swayne Mushroom Cannery in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, for 25 years before retiring to Arizona.

He was married to Lillian.

He was also a pitcher, playing briefly in the Blue Ridge League and also touring with the House of David baseball team.

He married Josephine Rog in 1936 and they had one daughter.

NATIONAL BASKETBALL HALL OF FAME, 1960

The three-sport star (baseball, basketball and football) is the only player to be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame and the College Football Hall of Fame. After a steller collegiate career which included the 1926 national championship in basketbal, he signed with the Cleveland Rosenblums but quit mid-season and returned to Syracuse to play for the All-Americans. He also played pro baseball for the Syracuse Stars in 1928. He became an assistant football coach back at SU before becoming head coach for seven years.

He married Dorothy Burns in 1932

After graduating from CCNY, Anderson played pro basketball for a few seasons before becoming a buyer for Kinney Shoe Corporation in 1931. He rose through the rank at Kinney as a sales manager and merchandising manager before becoming the company president in 1959. He would serve on the board of directors for Kinney, Woolworth and Coca Cola. A longtime resident of Montclair, New Jersey, we would move to Bay Head in 1957 and died there after a short illness in 1992.

He and his wife, Dorothea, had two sons.

Born in 1905 in Poland, Gershon Skurnick's family came to the United States in 1907. Skurnick took to athletics, and while at Commerce HS in New York City, lead the school to the PSAL Championship. He went to the Savage School of Physical Education, and headed west to Ohio where he joined up with the Cleveland Rosenblums of the ABL. He eventually found himself sold to George Halas' Chicago Bruins and made Chicago his home. He worked at many youth camps in Chicagoland such as the Deborah Boys Club and the Boys Brotherhood Republic. He died in Los Angeles in 1980.
