(Another one I have to pat myself on the back for being able to identify.)
Born to Thomas and Catherine Carroll, Tom was one of the nation's highest scoring players while at St Francis, coached by Brooklyn Visitations player Rody Cooney. When St. Francis' season wrapped up in 1934, Carroll joined his coach with the Visitations on March 4, 1934. He was ordained into priesthood in 1938. He was a priest at the Holy Name of Mary Parish in Valley Stream, New York, when he was suffered severe burns in a freak accident at a barbecue with friends and family. The popular priest succumbed to his injuries a few days later at the age of 44.
