Nolan was a real tricky one to find since his birthname was Barricelli. He adopted the use of the name Nolan after his godfather, heavyweight box Big Sam Nolan. Family name looks like it was also spelled Barchello.
Nolan was also a baseball player, and played many years of semi-pro and pro baseball as well as basketball. He later worked as a clerk and salesman until illness forced him to retire. He died in 1962 at 57 years of age.
Jimmy and his wife, Catherine, had two daughters.
