Born to Harry and Mary Webster in Los Angeles, Webster played baseball and basketball at USC. After a short run with the Omaha Tomahawks, he went into coach and teaching at high school. After retiring from teach in the late 1970's, he worked as a real estate agent. Bob died of cancer in 1987.
He married Virginia Klose in 1950 and they had four daughters.
