A graduate of Purcell High School in Cincinnati, Leo P. Sack moved on to
attend Xavier University ('36) where he not only excelled in
basketball, but was the starting quarterback for the football team.
Despite his small frame (5'8, 145 lbs), Sack was a very gifted
quarterback, quick and agile. He joined the Comellos in 1937-38. He later worked in the insurance industry, labor relations, and was even employed by the FBI. Married
to Kathryn Mullen, and later to Dolores Sack (1917-1980), Sack died in Cincinnati in 1987.
