Another player with minimal information when I started.
The "Biographical Directory of Professional Basketball Coaches" by Jeff Marcus gave me his birthdate and a little bio information. While playing at USC, Anderson was part of a starting line-up that featured all native Indianans. Served in the US Navy during World War 2. With the birthdate and middle initial, I found his grave:

"Butter" Anderson was born in 1913 to Carl (1883-1951) and Estella Anderson (1880-1961). He married Harriett Ann Biggs (1918-2005) and had a daughter, Kristen Anderson (1943-1969), and a son, John. Kristen was killed in the crash of Allegheny Flight 853 on September 9, 1969.
