Known more by his nickname, Bello, Snyder was born in Rochester, New
York. He married Janet Flowerday (1917-2009) on June 11, 1939, and
together, they owned and operated Camp Eagle Cove on Fourth Lake in the
Adirondeck Mountains in New York. A successful camp, the Snyder's
donated some weekends at the camp for kids suffering from cancer. They
had six sons.
