in the NBL. He played basketball while serving in the U.S. Army. Wisbar died in Duquesne, Pennsylvania, in 1967 at the age of 50.
He was married to Thelma.

Thanks to comments from a family member, I have corrected the birth and death location for Edward. Hopefully we can get some more information to add. As for the Detroit teams he played on, sources are noted below.

Where did you get this misinformation? That is my father, he was born in Duquesne, PA, not Detroit. He died in Duquesne, PA. He also played basketball for the army, and you have the names of the teams he played for in Detroit wrong.
ReplyDeleteThere has been lots of misinformation on a lot of these players from this era, and it has been recopied so many times in on-line encyclopedias. I am putting out what I find from as many sources as I can, with hopes of people (like yourself) to be able to fill in blanks or correct this misinformation.
