Born in Yonkers to Augustine and Bridget Millen, Tiny played basketball for many years for various local outfits, eventually joining the short-lived New York Yankees of the ABL in 1937. He played around New York and New Jersey until World War 2, and after the war, returned to the court for one last season with the Troy Whirlwinds in the New Yor State League.
