Curtis McMahon grew up in Waterloo, Ohio, and has the captain of
the famed Waterloo Wonders. He, along with other boys on the team, used
to practice with a "ball" made from rags. He played semi-pro basketball
around Ohio as well as a short stint with the Dayton Metros. He worked
32 years as a toolmaker. He was married Kathryn Bradshaw (c.1919-2015),
who was a cheerleader for Waterloo, and had three daughters: Patricia
Lewis, Carolyn Watkins and Marile Tarr. McMahon died in Dayton in 1978.
