Born to Francis and Charlotte Fitzpatrick, Harry grew up in Yonkers and played pro basketball through the late 1930's and early 40's until serving in the military during World War 2. After the war, he returned to play for Trenton in the ABL and Troy in the New York State League.
Harry and his wife, Mary, had two sons and a daughter.
