Spector played basket ball at West Philly, as well as playing quarterback for the school football team. He went to Villanova, but after two years apparently left the team. Spector put in some time in the ABL before becoming the first player signed by the Boston Celtcs. After four years in the BAA/NBA, Spector played in the Eastern League before calling it quits. He later worked for the Blum Store and moved to Newtown, Connecticut. He was 68 when he died in 1987.

Spector was married to Stella Kuhlmann and they had three sons and three daughters.

  2. His first wife was Kathleen Leona Grettner and they had 2 sons, Arthur and Victor. He abandoned his first family for his mistress, whom he impregnated and married. So 7 kids all told.
