He is listed on various sites as "Hal Bosch," but after seeing his name in some boxscores spelled "Boesch" and seeing this article by Paul Boesch, the wrestling legend, I believe that the Hoboken player is indeed the wrestler.

Born in Brooklyn, Boesch's family moved to Long Beach, New York, where Paul turned his interests to athletics. He was a swimmer and played basketball, but would eventually become a professional wrestler. He was a very popular wrestler, and did very well during the Depression, traveling as far as New Zealand to wrestle. He served in the U.S. Army during World War 2, decorated with a Silver Star, Bronze Star, Purple Heart and a Combat Infantry Badge, among other awards. In 1947, a near-fatal car accident ended his career as a wrestler, but now living in Houston, we would go on to be a successful announcer and promoter for the sport. Boesch suffered a fatal heart attack in 1989, and was elected posthumously to the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2005.

The team began the season in Hoboken, but after losing their first two games, they team dropped and was replaced by the Camden Brewers on November 28, 1933. The Brewers also struggled, both on the floor and at the gate, and on January 9, 1934, they moved to New Britain, Connecticut. With a 2-10 record at the time of the move to New Britain, the new location and personnel changes improved the club's fortunes, and they even managed to finish in second place in the second half.

Born in New Jersey to Baldwin and Concetta Adamo, Pail went to the old Panzer College of Physical Education in New Jersey (which in 1958 would merge with Montclair State Teachers College to become Montclair University). He would be one of the leading scorers in the American and Eastern leagues. He served in the Army during World War 2, and after the war, returned to the Jersey Reds, now an independent team, as a player and head coach. He would quit as a player after the year, but started the 1946-47 season as the head coach of the Jersey City Atoms. He was dismissed after the club lost their first four games.

Paulie married Margaret Kenny (1908-1997) in 1930
