The Wallingford Vets dropped their first four league games before running off five straight victories and finished the season 12-4. Their slow start kept them from climbing out of third place, and would have missed the playoffs had first-place Danbury not withdrawn with two games left to play. This opened the way for Wallingford to enter the round robin, and after winning 4 of six games, tied Bristol in the round robin and were declared co-champions.
