Torrington came in with an entirely different roster from the previous year, save for Frank Samele. The result was a mediocre start, alternating wins and losses for the first ten games. Then, the Howards won 8 or nine games down the strecth to win the Yankee Division. In the round robin, they split the six contests, finishing third.
