New to the league, Berwick stunned the Pennsylvania basketball community by drubbing the defending champion Pottsville club in their opener. Unfortunately, this would be the high-mark of the season. they would lose 5 of their next 7 heading into January, and their slide continued. Despite having stalwarts like Bink Manning and Johnny Rusinko, the Car-Builders would go 8-17 and finished in last place in the Northern Division.
