1946-47 HARTFORD ATLANTICS
EASTERN BASKETBALL LEAGUE - CONNECTICUT
North Division
Finished: 6-12 .333, 4th place

Coach Tony Crafa
The Hartford club had high hopes at the beginning of the season, with Abe Silverman as head coach. However, between the Atlantics and also coaching at Morse College, quit on December 12, 1946, to focus on his duties at Morse. Holding a 3-3 record at the time, team business manager Tony Crafa stepped in to take the reigns, and the team never was able to gel. Crafa had been in a similar position the previous year when the Atlantics were in the CSL and fired head coach Jack Wise part-way into the season. The Atlantics only won three of the next 12 games before withdrawing from the league with two weeks left in the season.
