In his later life he was employed at United Oil Company. (newspapers.com/image/551440604)<br /><br />The February 19, 1940 Indianapolis Star issue's caption to its photo lists Gene Cramer as being on Stewart-Warner along with Lloyd "Bob" Baker (newspapers.com/image/106023144). Given that these players were around during the same time, both having odd nickname choices, geographic region similarity, and brevity of NBL careers for the Indianapolis Kautskys, I have zero doubt that "Bill Cramer" is actually Crawford Eugene Cramer.
